Heart Emblem

BROCKTON---Carol A. (Smith) McAuliffe, 77, a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away on March 28, 2021 after a brief illness.

Born in Newport, Rhode Island, a daughter to George and Ena (Newell) Smith, she was raised in Roslindale and Dorchester and was a graduate of the Boston Public Schools.

What can one say when your MOM passes away. Our MOM was a special person to us and to many who knew her. She would always put other people first before thinking about herself.

She would always make dinner and have it all served to the family before she even sat down to finally eat. She was all about caring and giving and had the politeness of an angel.

We don't even remember hearing a swear word come out of her mouth. She was genuine and had a great heart.

She will be sadly missed but never forgotten as we move on in our lives. She will always have a special place in our hearts forever.

Carol is survived by her children, David McAuliffe and his wife Beth of Port Richie, FL., Kenneth McAuliffe and his wife Andrea of Easton and Edward McAuliffe and his wife Carol of Orange, MA.; two brothers, George Smith of Wilmington and Ralph Smith of Watertown; 7 grandchildren, Kevin McAuliffe, Keith McAuliffe, Shaun McAuliffe, Collin McAuliffe, Jillian McAuliffe, Joshua McAuliffe and Alex McAuliffe; and four great grandchildren. Funeral Services are private. Donations in Carol's memory may be sent to the Easton Food Pantry, 136 Elm Street, North Easton, MA. 02356.
