NORTH EASTON - Barbara M. (McLeod) (Shubert) Miller, age 94, passed away after a brief illness September 1, 2021 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband Bobby Keith Shubert, who she met during World War II at the Evangelical Church in Easton. They later married at the same church.

Born and raised in North Easton. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Beatrice ( Farrar ) McLeod. She was educated in Easton School's.

Barbara worked at BPM (Brockton Public Market) before it was Shaw's. Her mom got her the job as a buyer. Whenever she got the opportunity, she would donate to various non profit organizations. She was born and raised on "the farm" which is on the same road she lived on her entire life. She would help her parents tend to a variety of animals which held a special spot in her heart.

She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in North Easton.

Barbara's family was her world, she had so much happiness when she was with her family.

She also enjoyed reading and sewing, as well as a love for birds and cats.

Her survivors include, a daughter, Karen S. Aguiar of Raynham; three grandchildren, Thomas Aguiar of Somerset, Jenny VanDerlip and her husband Dan of Assonet, Matthew Aguiar of Raynham; two great grandchildren, Kaya May and Lily; a niece, Cyndee of RI; two nephew's, Paul of Easton and Scott of Oklahoma. She leaves behind her best friend from school Murtle, who was part of a group of three including the late Helen.  
She was also the sister of the late Phyllis Prew and Mildred McLeod.

Her funeral will be held at the First Baptist Church, 197 Bay Rd North Easton on Thursday, September 9th at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Visiting hours will be held in the Kane Funeral Home and Cremation Services 605 Washington St (Rte. 138) Easton on Wednesday, September 8th from 4 to 7 pm.

In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to the MSPCA-Angell, Attn: Donations, 350 South Huntington Ave Boston, MA 02130 or to any local animal shelter of your choice.
