MANSFIELD----Audrey G. (Grampp) Hartman, 89, of Mansfield and Georgetown, FL., formerly of Syracuse, NY., died peacefully at home under the care of her family. She was the wife of Robert P. Hartman for 65 years.

Born in Summit, New Jersey, a daughter of the late William and Eleanor (Ruban) Grampp, she was raised and educated in Springfield, NJ., and was a graduate of Springfield High School. She continued her education at the College of New Jersey receiving a Bachelor in Education. She furthered her education at Syracuse University earning a Masters in Education.

Audrey was both an elementary school teacher and special education teacher for the North Syracuse School District and taught education at both the Smith Road Elementary School and Main Street Elementary School.

Audrey was an active volunteer for the needy at Andrews Memorial Methodist Church in Syracuse and was an active member of the Cochesett United Methodist Church in West Bridgewater.

She traveled extensively with her husband visiting Europe, Panama and numerous National Parks in the US and Canada. She was an avid gardener who enjoyed knitting and crafts.

In addition to her husband Robert she is survived by her children, William Hartman of Watertown, NY., James Hartman of Germany, Thomas Hartman of Seacliff, NY. And Robert Hartman of Easton; a sister, Kay Honecker of Asbury, NJ; and five grandchildren, Bryan, Travis, Benjamin, Nicholas, and Dietrich.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the Cochesett United Methodist Church, 517 West Center Street, West Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers donations in Audrey's memory may be sent to Old Colony Hospice, 321 Manley Street, West Bridgewater, MA. 02379.
