HINGHAM--Albert E. LaRosee, 92, of Hingham, formerly of Easton, Dracut and Boston, died Sunday, February 19, 2017 after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Georgianna G. (Bentis) LaRosee for 64 years.

Born in Waltham, a son of the late Albert E. and Catherine A. (MacDonald) LaRosee, he was raised in Brighton and was a graduate of St. Columbkille's High School. A veteran of the US Navy he served as a Pharmacy Mate First Class during WWII.

Upon honorable discharge he continued his education at Northeastern University where he received a bachelors degree and furthered his education at Boston University earning a Master's degree in social work.

A licensed social worker, he was employed for 25 years at the VA Medical Center in Brockton. In addition, Al served as a past police Captain for the Town of Easton.

Past President of the Easton Rotary Club, he was devoted to his wife, family and friends.

He is survived by a brother, John "Jack" LaRosee of Somerset; a sister, Jeanette Fitzgibbon of Burlington; also survived by one niece and several nephews. He was also the brother of the late Catherine Murrell.

Interment with military honors will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at a later date.
