EASTON---Maria (Serene) Taylor-Marchand, 76, a longtime resident of Easton passed away on
May 16, 2021 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She was the wife of Lester V. Marchand for 40 years.

Born in Quincy, a daughter of Charles P. and Loretta (Gallagher) Serene, she was raised in Quincy and was a graduate of North Quincy High School. Maria continued her education at Catherine Gibbs Secretarial School in Boston.

She began her working career AT & T Phone Company. Later, she earned her Massachusetts Real Estate License and was employed as a real estate broker since 1986 and worked for Success Real Estate.

She enjoyed devoting her time to her grandchildren and traveling to the Caribbean for over 20 years as well as vacationing in Maine.

In addition to her husband Lester, she is survived by two children, Annette R. Taylor and her husband Steven Delancey of Norton and Mark Taylor and his wife Penny of Easton; four grandchildren Jonathan Taylor and Paige, Declan and Liam Taylor; she was also grandmother of the late Steven Taylor and sister of the late Robert Serene, Charles Paul Serene II and Dolores Casa.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Cross Church, 225 Purchase Street, South Easton. Private family interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Maria's memory may be sent to American Cancer Society 1324 Belmont Street, Brockton, MA. 02301. We were friends for over 45 years. No matter where I moved, we always kept in touch! We were each other’s confidants. I know you are out of pain, now, but I will still miss you, every single day! Your friendship is forever engraved in my heart. Rest In Peace, my dear and loving friend.
