Thomas J. O'Connor (Buddy) passed away peacefully at home on February 14, 2021 at the age of 96.

Born on November 6, 1924 to Patrick J. O'Connor and Mary (Mullen) O'Connor, Thomas grew up in the Boston area. Thomas served in the United States Navy during WWII. He continued to serve in the United States Navy and Coast Guard where he achieved the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer. He retired after 20+ years of dedicated service. After his retirement from the Coast Guard, Thomas worked as a Plant Manager for Duval Corporation for 20+ years.

He married the love of his life, Dorothy (McGlynn) in 1947. Together they built a life centered on family, friends, love and kindness. Thomas loved to sing Irish music and was an amazing dancer. He and Dot would light up the dance floor with their moves and their smiles. Thomas was an active parishioner at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Easton. For many years, he served as a lector and usher.

Thomas was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Thomas was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy, his daughter Doreen, his brothers John and Charles, his sister Margaret and his grandson Derrick.

He is survived by his sons, Thomas and his wife Loretta, Daniel and his wife Marcella and Richard. His brother Richard and his wife Marlene. His sister Mary. His grandchildren Kimberly, Christine, Heather, Colleen, Madeline, Jeffrey and Amory. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews both in the United States and in Ireland. He was surrounded by many friends, especially his neighbors Robert and Kathy Ettinger and family friend, Kathy Kelley.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral Mass requiring Mask & Social Distancing on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Holy Cross Church 225 Purchase Street, Easton.
