I want to express my heartfelt sympathy to Anne's family. She was such a beautiful person with a sweet spirit and big heart. Her smile would light up a room!! She loved her work at FBMS and worked so hard to support the children and families she served. She was one special lady who will be nearly missed by so many! We love you Anne and we miss you already!

My heart goes out to Leo and Annie's family. I'm so sorry for your loss. Anne was the nicest person I met at Father Bills about 10 years ago. we often go out to lunch for catfish Annie enjoyed talking about culture and diversity and listened to my stories about Haiti. Most afternoons she use to have her afternoon snack cookies and coffee which she usually offers to share, Anne always had a calming presence.
The world won't be the same without you Annie, you loved the children of the world no matter where they came from, no matter their stories. Thank you for your dedication! May you Rest In Peace.

Anne and I served FBMS in the same role for several years. We shared offices, lunches and many stories. She was a beautiful soul. She will be greatly missed.

To Leo and family as well as Eleanor, John and Bill, I was so sad to hear of your loss. I have such fond childhood memories of building snow forts on snow days, enjoying Halloween nights and visiting the Cider Mill with Annie. Her smile was infectious and her laugh always sweet. She was always such a kind and caring neighbor to my parents in their later years. Our hearts go out to you.

To Leo and your family,
It was 1974 or 1975.. not exactly sure now in 2021! You Leo, and Anne and I worked for Norfolk Country Trust Company. Anne and I worked for Kay Coulter and Jack Carter in the Stoughton branch. You Leo, and again I'm not sure but, I feel that you met Anne while working for Norfolk County Trust, maybe in the cash room? Maybe you knew each other before and just ended up working there? All I know is that Anne, who was a few, actually 3 years older than I was, was one of my best friends in the Stoughton branch of the bank. She was getting ready to marry you, and so "loved" talking about how much she loved you. I remember hoping that I too, someday loved someone as much as she seemed to love this man she called Leo. I remember her talking about packing for her honeymoon. She was the one that taught me that you should wrap your outfits when traveling in "tissue paper." That way when you arrived at your destination you didn't have to "iron" them!
We lost touch after those years at Norfolk county Trust but today, when seeing this obituary I "remembered" how I so admired her for the way she was "always" thinking about "others" and what she wanted to do in her future to help "others" that could not help themselves. She talked about working at her family's farm stand and keeping it going. I'm see from these comments that Anne "fulfilled" her goal in life. She by far, has earned her place in heaven and in the hearts of all that she may have touched over the years, including mw.
Anne, my you rest in peace knowing that the world is a better place because you existed! :

To the Descheanes family - we are very sorry for your loss. Anne was a wonderful person, and she will be greatly missed. When we met her I was 5 months pregnant and feeling horrible and just being around her made me feel so much more calm and at peace. Her kindness and humanistic qualities are something to strive for. I can tell she will greatly missed but her spirit will live on forever.

Auntie Anne was the best. She was always so happy, so silly, so joyful...
On Christmas Eve she made the most delicious lasagnas, and on Thanksgiving the best pies, and on Easter she made the most delicious and adorable bunny cake.
She was always laughing, and always so present when she was with you. I always felt heard and validated. I could feel her care always.
When we visited Saratoga one year, she encouraged Cousin and I to talk to the bellboy to get us to use the pool. We did, and when our dads found us they were not happy...but she had our back :)
She helped so many families, and truly cared about humanity.
I'm more than grateful to be her niece. She was the best, truly the most beautiful soul. I'm going to miss her, I already do. My memories of her are her always smiling and giggling, playing the piano (usually the Beatles) and helping the world be a better place. She left the world a better place because of her love and who she was.
I love you Auntie Anne.

So sorry to hear this news! I pray for all who loved this beautiful soul. I read all the memories people have put in here and agree with every word...she was sweet, gentle, hard-working, giving, one of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure to know. I met Annie in Easton, MA when she was 14 years old. Her sister Eleanor and I had returned from a study trip in Madrid, Spain that summer. Annie was a tall and slender beautiful teenager, always smiling, with long dark hair and the sweetest expression on her face. After that and throughout many years, we visited each other, especially in November when she came to the annual parties my husband Julio and I had. We all danced all night long, and Annie was the soul of the celebration. She dedicated her life to her family and to charitable work, touching many lives with her compassion and sweet disposition. Planet Earth has certainly lost one of its best citizens, someone who mended the many tears our world is presently suffering, as it did in past times. I will never forget Annie, and when her daughter Rose came to do her BA at Fordham University, we had more occasions to meet. Rose even roomed with us for about a year after obtaining her degree. Annie, Leo and other family members took us to Radio City Music Hall one year. All these are cherished memories that will stay with me forever. May she enjoy the presence of Our Lord in Heaven, as one more angel in paradise.

Usually I'd see Anne (along with Leo, my cousin) only on the occasional large family gatherings. What I remember is being in the presence of a very, very beautiful person. Her passing leaves us all so much poorer. My prayers here at Mass with my fellow Jesuits at Campion Health Center are for her and for all whom she held in loving affection.

I worked with Anne at The Conway House family shelter in Stoughton.

So very sorry about losing Annie! I am shocked and Rick and I are very sad. When I think about Annie, I picture her laughing and always full of joy. She talked to people as if they were the most important person on earth. She always had a deep care for everyone she knew. What an amazing and beautiful woman. Her heart was huge. Her love was huge. The world was certainly a better place because of her. We will miss her deeply.
