Michelle- I am so very sorry to hear of your father's passing. He was always very kind when I would be at your house when we were growing up. Truly, my deepest sympathies to you and the rest of your family. Sending love.

Thoughts and prayers to the Gibbs family. John would always take the time to have a chat with me when we'd run into each other, usually when he was shopping and I was working at the store during my high school/college years. John's son John Jr was an old schoolmate of mine as well as his daughter Christine. Great memories with all the Gibbs family. May the precious memories be of comfort during this time and all the days ahead.

My heart is truly broken. John's presence in my life was a gift from God. John's wisdom, care, support nurtured me through dark moments.
His 40-year friendship with my mother was filled with respect and care. He was always an extremely skilled and accomplished a consummate professional in every sense.
He stood by me in his final days, supporting me without hesitation. He actively listened to every word with empathy and made decisions with integrity. I owe him a gift of gratitude. May Christ, the true Shepherd, embrace you as one of his flock.

From 1971-1973 I worked at the Mass. Mental Health Center. I started there as an assistant in the Treasurer's Office. Literally the day he told me I'd finished my 3 month training period successfully, I had to tell him I'd seen another job at the Center in Recreational Therapy and been hired. I will never ever forget how he handled this news and have told countless numbers of people over the years. He made the most gracious response I've ever heard. He said, "Lee, you have to look out for yourself in this world and if this suits you more, go for it. Don't ever be afraid to do that". So many people would've thrown a fit and it took a lot for me to tell him. He'd been a very fair boss but this response absolutely floored me. I have repeated this story so many times. I'm sorry for your loss and send my condolences. I wish I'd told him how much this meant to me in my life.

My condolences to John’s family. I got to know John over the last couple of years and John was a good man who worked tirelessly for his clients. John was a gentleman and now he can join his beloved wife Dolores. RIP. Rick Lawton

John was a wonderful friend and the greatest accountant to be found, We enjoyed Johns friendship for over 50 years, imagine that, we were only kids then. John is in a happier place now and finally back with his Delores, He will be greatly missed by all. God Bless
