EASTON----John F. Gibbs, 77, a longtime resident of Easton, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020 after a period of failing health. He was the loving husband of the late Dolores E. (Palano) Gibbs.

Born in Bangor, Maine, a son to the late Fred A. and Mary E. (Stubbs) Gibbs, he was raised in Hyde Park, MA and was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Boston. He began his career with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, serving as the Director of Revenue for Massachusetts Mental Health Center in Boston. John was a consummate professional and dedicated the last years of his life to serving his clients. He was an advocate for all those he knew – both on a personal and professional level.

John took great pleasure in volunteering his time to numerous charitable organizations. An avid cook who enjoyed the taste of good food, he also loved to dance, particularly the jitterbug with the love of his life, his late wife Dolores. John was an enthusiastic collector of Department 56 "Villages," and for many years his displays brought delight to his friends and family at Christmas-time. John was a life member of the Knights of Columbus Council 238 in Easton.
