Tribute & Message From The Family

EASTON----Natalie C. (Winnett) Hurley, at 91, died on November 8, 2020, in Newton, Massachusetts. She was born on March 12, 1929, in Whitman, and raised by her loving grandparents, Thomas and Wavie Winnett. She married Vincent P. Hurley, Sr. on August 4, 1978.

Natalie, a long-time Easton resident, was raised in Whitman, and studied at the New England Conservatory of Music. Along with being a mother to her beautiful, blended family of 12 children, Natalie was a powerhouse in the southeastern Massachusetts real estate market, as well as an active volunteer for many charitable organizations. She enjoyed the theater and symphony, mountains, and Arizona landscape; and found her profound peace alongside the ocean on Cape Cod.

Natalie is survived by her husband, Vincent; children: Marcia (Plaskus) Simonds, Michele (Plaskus) Abi-Saad, Monica (Hurley) Lawson, Joanne (Hurley) Warren, Charles P. Hurley, Vincent P. Hurley, Jr., Thomas M. Hurley, Dianne (Hurley) Lawrence, Kevin L. Hurley, Patricia (Hurley) Christensen, Michael V. Hurley, and Thomas J. Hurley; twenty-five grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and siblings: Channing (Bud) Winnett and Jane (Winnett) Wood. Natalie was preceded in death by her son John Plaskus.

Natalie passed-away from the COVID-19 virus. Due to coronavirus restrictions, only immediate family are invited to attend a funeral Mass, requiring mask and social distancing, on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Cross Catholic Church, 225 Purchase Street, Easton. Condolence & Memory Journal

My deepest sympathy to the Hurley family; Mr Hurley, Tom, Chuck, Vinny.I have such fond memories of Ms Hurley's generosity and genuine concern for me growing up as a teenager in the 80's. I remember her always for putting children first, the affection and adoration she held for all her children, grandchildren and her husband. I admired how she kept it all together with so many people in her life including the friends of her children and to pull it off with a smile that could light up the room. Thank you Mrs Hurley for always believing in me and bringing me into your family for that impressionable time of my life. May the good Lord receive her beautiful soul and the wonderful deeds and acts of love she left behind for us to treasure. Rest In Peace
