Like everyone else, I was stunned to hear the news that a very special vibrant young person could pass so unexpectedly. I got to know Amelia when she applied for a position at the Council. At each interview I was more and more impressed by her maturity and thoughtfulness. It is easier being a woman in the trades than when I joined the union, but it is still a challenge and Amelia demonstrated a very sophisticated understanding of when to

To everyone who received an opportunity to know Amelia my thoughts and continued prayers go out to all of you. I only knew Amelia for a short period of time, but working with her on the Sisters conference earlier this year I had an opportunity to see what passion she had for the work we do. I pray for comfort for all who mourn her, peace be upon her soul, and strength for those who forge onward in her memory. Although miles separated us, she is still my Sister. All my love always,

She leaves

I had the pleasure of getting to know Amelia through working together on tradeswomen issues over the past few years. I knew I could count on Amelia for guidance and support when organizing in the South Coast. She was also passionate about connecting people in her community who were in need with opportunities, and gave her all the events we worked on together.
I really enjoyed talking with Amelia, She was warm, friendly and smart. I remember lingering in a Panera
