My condolences to the Cutting family during this difficult time. I hope you all can find comfort in a promise made at Jeremiah 29:12,13.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Chris and all of Phil's family. He was a true friend and gentleman, and devotee of broadcasting and life on the water.
I have too many memories of our time together in so many circumstances.
Captain Phil, Bon Voyage, Godspeed, and thanks for so many wonderful "Shorewatch" experiences in a great career.

A sad loss for all who knew him. I consider it an honor to have worked and lunched with him. He actively made the Seaport a better place and was so often the voice of reason for his fellow interpeters. My condolences to his family.

It was my pleasure to know Phil and to have worked with him during his time at Mystic Seaport Museum. He was appreciated by those that knew him, for his kind, and patient ways but also his persistence in doing a first rate job.

Unanimous among broadcasters that worked under the watch of Captain Phil. A pro who valued time and expected champion results. A high standard. Long before environmental regulations, he was active in Long Island Sound awareness.
His employment roster was divided between seasoned pro's and aspiring locals, many who have already posted their condolences here. To family and true friends of Phil Cutting, his passing reflects
exceptional service to the U.S.A. and over-
whelming persistence for results.
An honor to have known the "Captain".

To the Family: My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

Of all the people I have known Phil was the most kind and gentle. I will miss him greatly. We shared a love of painting and of the sea.
